Altrincham Leisure Centre has reopened following a multi-million-pound refurbishment!

Trafford Council first set out its vision for the borough’s leisure facilities and services in its Strategic Outcome planning framework in 2020. To support its plans, the Council committed to a significant investment programme for its leisure centres. This included the official launch of Move Urmston in 2022 and plans to develop Partington Sport Village, due to be completed in 2027.

As part of that programme, Altrincham Leisure Centre has been transformed into a state-of-the-art hub for health and wellbeing and branded Move Altrincham. Max Associates is proud to have supported the Council in the initial feasibility and updating revenue business plans as the project developed, and is delighted that after all the Council teams’ hard work, the centre opened its doors to the public in August 2025.
