The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead Council’s New Sport and Leisure Strategy successfully adopted

Max Associates is delighted to learn that The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead has adopted the new Sport and Leisure Strategy at cabinet on 18th December 2024.

Max Associates worked with the Council to develop the strategy for the Borough for the period 2024-2033.

The new strategy provides a strategic framework that ensures the Council’s sports and leisure provision is able to increase community physical activity, continue to meet current and future demands and contribute to the Council’s commitment for “A borough of safer, greener and cleaner communities, with opportunity for all.”

The Sport and Leisure Strategy has the vision “More residents feel inspired to be more active, more often in indoor and outdoor spaces that are environmentally and financially sustainable.”

Max Associates compiled and produced the Sport and Leisure Strategy following a national, regional and local review including stakeholder and resident consultation to understand how increasing physical activity across the borough could meet wider local outcomes. It was produced following the Strategic Outcomes Planning Model (SOPM) based on Sport England guidance.
